Old floppy discs and mp3
"Back when I was in high school in 2001, my state required all graduating seniors were required to do a senior project, which explored a possible career route. I had mine saved on one of the old 3.5" floppy discs, which was bent in my backpack the day of the presentation. I would not be able to graduate with out this being completed. I had a power point presentation about engineering prepared.
To gain extra time, I took an mp3 file and changed the extention from .mp3 to .ppt and saved it on a floppy so that when it tried to open on the computer we used to present, it just gave an error. This gave me an extra day to complete it.
Now I have a heavy duty thumb drive which I use for all important data."
