Folders disappeared
"I was working in my thesis on capital asset pricing model. while i was working on it, i started browsing and came across a program that i was interested in downloading. as soon as i had downloaded the program, i was asked to restart the computer which i did. when it was back on, all the folders on the desktop were not there. the data was important to me since it was a one year of research work. without it, i cannot earn an honors degree. to avoid the problem in the future, i have started storing important files in various different locations mostly on the internet such as an attachment in an email."
