Erased pictures
"A few years ago, I turned on our family computer and heard an awful grinding, screeching noise. My system booted up but once windows loaded, my drive failed completely. I was absolutely crushed. My data loss was not vital documents or important work, but all visual records of the life of our infant son. I had backed up several folders of important documents a couple of weeks before, but had not done so for the family pictures; there were SO MANY of them and I kept putting it off, as our backup “solution” was to burn things to disc. We had had hundreds of digital photographs of our little boy, and it seemed like an overly time-consuming, expensive task. I sure learned my lesson! We were only left with a few printed pictures, and the ones we'd e-mailed to his grandparents. Ever since, we back everything up once a week."
